San Fransisco 49ers

Picture
The San Fransisco 49ers, or 'Niners as some call them, are members of the Western Division of the NFC in the NFL. They won four super bowl games games in the 1980's and won at least 10 games for 16 straight seasons.  Second only to the Pittsburgh Steelers for the record of most super bowl wins, and fifth including "pre-super bowl era" wins, the 49ers are one heck of a team! Their Mascot is steeped in History. Sourdough Sam is a 49er in the sense that he rushed to California during the Gold Rush. (1849) Though his Mascot costume may not be fearsome, actually it's very friendly, he is a big part of the team.
